Fencing Coach

Dynamo Fencing Club is looking for 4 full-time high performance fencing coaches

to establish international level program.

The successful candidates will meet the following requirements:

  • Completion of a college or a degree program in sport science

  • 2+ years of fencing coaching experience at the international level

  • Must be strong and inspiring leader and well respected in the world of Fencing

 

The job duties of the position include:

 

  • Plan, develop and implement training and practice sessions

  • Co-ordinate competitive schedules and programs

  • Motivate and prepare athletes

  • Develop game plans and tactics

  • Evaluate athletes'; performances and modify training programs as required

  • Promote Fencing and the club by organizing presentations and

  • Promotional events at schools, malls, parks, parades etc.

 

Wages:

$28.00 per hour + employee benefit package/ 30-40 hour per week work schedule

Operations Manager - Gastown

Dynamo Fencing Club is seeking an experienced Operations Manager with a passion for fencing to oversee our club's day-to-day operations. The ideal candidate will have a background in sales, excellent communication skills in

Responsibilities:

Manage and oversee all operational aspects of the club

• including front desk, general inquiries, membership enrollment, scheduling for private

lessons

• Develop and implement sales strategies to drive revenue growth

• Build and maintain relationships with customers

• Manage club staff and coordinate schedules

• Handle customer inquiries and issues in a timely manner

• Assist in organizing and promoting club events and activities

 

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field

• Proven experience in sales

• Fluent in English and Mandarin, both written and verbal

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

• Strong organizational abilities

Event Coordinator

Dynamo Fencing Club is seeking an experienced Events Coordinator to oversee all club events, including the prestigious 2023 Vancouver World Cup—an international fencing competition. This position offers an exciting opportunity to plan and execute high-profile events and work with elite athletes. 

Responsibilities:

• Plan and execute Youth Open, Senior Open, Open House and other club events including the 2023 Vancouver World Cup

• Manage event logistics, venues, and programs

• Develop and manage event budgets

• Secure sponsorships and coordinate fundraising initiatives

• Collaborate with marketing team for event promotion

• Recruit and manage event volunteers

• Engage with stakeholders and provide excellent customer service

• Conduct post-event evaluations and implement improvements

 

Qualifications:

• Event planning and management experience

• Strong organizational and multitasking skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Attention to detail and high standards of quality

• Knowledge of fencing or sports events is a plus

• Familiarity with event management software

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
