Maitre Victor Gantsevich Continued...

Gantsevich's students consistently achieve high rankings in all levels of competition. Some of his students' recent accomplishments include:

  • Natalie Conrad was the 2003 World Champion in Senior Women's Epee and the 2004 European Senior Women's Epee Champion, representing Ukraine.
  • Monica Pinnete qualified for the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens for the sport of Pentathlon (Fencing, Shooting, Swimming, Equestrian and 3k run). She was 4 th in the fencing event at the Olympics and finished 13 th overall, the top North American result in Pentathlon at the 2004 Olympics.
  • Tigran Bajgoric was the North American Junior Men's Epee Champion in 2003. He represented Team Canada in Junior Men's Epee at the 2002 World Championships in Turkey   and the 2003 World Championships in Italy. Tigran placed 3 rd at the 2006 Senior Men's Epee Nationals. Most recently, Tigran placed 13th at a Senior World Cup Grand Prix in Kuweit.
  • Enej Bajgoric made the Junior Men's Epee Team for the 2003/2004 season. Enej placed 8 th in Junior Men's Epee at the 2004 San Jose North American Junior Championships and finished 5 th at the 2004 Junior Men's Epee World Cup.
  • Alexey Cheremski has won numerous Senior World Cup medals.
  • Igor Gantsevich is the 2007 Junior and Senior (CSC1) National Champion. Igor represented Canada at 4 Cadet / Junior World Championships (Plovdiv, Linz, Taebaek and Belek).. He has been on the Canadian Cadet/Junior team since 2003 / 2004. Most recently, Igor finished 8th at the 2007 North American Cup in Columbus Ohio.
  • Gavin King finished 8 th at the 2004 San Jose Senior Men's Epee North American Cup.
  • Tik Maynard is a Pentathlon Canadian National Team Member.
  • Dmitry Balashov was the 2003 Junior Men's Epee Western Champion.
  • Janelle Mackoff was a member of the Canadian Cadet National Team in 2005 / 2006 and represented Canada at the 2006 World Championships in Taebaek City, Korea.
  • The Dynamo Fencing Club Men's Epee Team won 2nd place at the 2004 Canadian Nationals (Team members: Tigran Bajgoric, Enej Bajgoric and Gavin King), and 1st place at the 2004 B.C. Provincial Championships (Team members: Dmitry Balashov, Tik Maynard, Markus Rissiek and Igor Gantsevich).
  • Dynamo Fencing Club Members won 16 medals at the 2004 B.C. Provincial Championships - by far the most out of all of the clubs that competed at the Provincials (the closest club to Dynamo was a club from Victoria with 8 medals).
